Our mission is to promote and conduct new, independent, clinical and translational research projects in oncology. Our activities aim at improving therapeutic options in haematology and solid tumors and at translating the results of our studies to the Community of Clinical Oncologists and to the Medical Community in general. Another goal of Fondazione Michelangelo is to share the know-how on designing and conducting clinical and translational studies with third parties Fondazione Michelangelo has major interest in fostering the education of researchers in the Oncology Field, to develop expertise and efficiency in the conduction of international clinical trials.
The values we rely on to achieve our mission are:
• Collaboration: promotion of a cooperating Network with various hospitals and clinical institutes is both an opportunity and a necessity. Fondazione Michelangelo focuses on the collaboration with healthcare stakeholders in the territory (and among territories), for the optimization of resources.
• Facilitation: clinical research is becoming increasingly complex, and takes a long time for its management, huge investments and organization, that cannot be faced by individual investigators, hospitals and institutions
• Ethics: independence of clinical research is a guarantee of reliable and credible partnerships with Patients, Medical and Scientific Community, and towards the Pharmaceutical Industry.
